Tribe is a series of portraits exploring the vulnerable, powerful and tender sphere of intimacy. I have chosen each subject with the goal of illuminating a single revelatory moment in the complex web of human connection. The work aims to articulate the nonverbal space between Self and Other and express the tension inherent in the complex experience of intimacy. My subjects are people who I know intimately on various levels – sexual, spiritual and emotional. They have all let me in on a part of their life, creating a web of interconnectedness that I am following one strand at a time.
